A Day Off

So today I took the day off. It was busy as usual. I am finally sitting down looking over what I did today. Whew. I got these two new items ready to go up on ETSY. I m having a holiday showcase next Sunday and want to make sure I have some new stuff ready to roll. I also got some new fuzzy sheep pictures up. Christmas is soon and I feel like usual-like I will never get everything done that I want to get done!

I also took the day off to make sure that Barclay and Caleb our two new Navajo Churro Rams are settling in here with the ladies that I picked out for them.
Pictured here is Caleb with his curly horned splendor

And this is Barclay. He has recently been sheared and the ewes that I have him with have not quite bonded with him yet. He is really quite nice and ate out of the grain scoop today.

I have eleven trays of chili peppers going in the dehydrator and 1 tray of habenaros. Once they are dry I will make our famous inferno powder that everyone but me loves! This year we are trying something new and making our very own chipolte style Tabasco sauce. Hopefully it will be some tasty stuff!
I finished the four scary tree costumes for the haunted house-but did not get my cakes baked for our gory pig on a platter cake! Well tomorrow night then. I really need another day off from work to get everything "more" done.
73 days till Christmas and I am itching to decorate.
And I still need to mix up my dyes so that I can get to dying roving-well now that the peppers are out of my barn room I can do that!
on to the next chore.......

So much to do

So Much to do, not enough time in the day. Busy busy weekend. Saturday we drove up to Salem and picked up my step daughter Alicia from Wilamette University then we headed off to Oregon Flock and Fiber and met up with fellow fiber enthusiasts and talked knitting and sheep for about 4 hours as we strolled through the booths and gathered packages. I got some cool colors of mohair locks to use on my mocha momma ladies that will be at my christmas bazaar.
Since I do not get out much Red Robin was a treat for lunch then off to do some shopping. I am so consumed with regular work and the farm that I always feel like a stranger when I go out shopping everything is new....Lots of chatting and fun! We were talking so much I neglected to look at the gas guage and almost ran out of gas~that was funny. Thank goodness Wolf Creek has a 24 hour gas station.
Sunday was just as busy around the farm. I was able to accomplish quite a bit. I was able to get all of the skates for my ETSY shop and my upcoming Christmas bazaar's painted.

And I was able to get the fleece that I purchased at OFFF washed as well as some Alpaca that I had picked up at Blacksheep Gathering in June. Then I had this craving for Pizza so I got that going and used fresh basil leaves and garlic right top of the sauce-yum! It satisfied the crave!
